Nungwi
After breakfast, transfer to the Arusha airport and proceed by domestic flight to Zanzibar. Once in Nungwi, Zanzibar, transfer to your seaside resort. Once little more than a ramshackle fishing village, Nungwi has been transformed into one of Unguja island’s busiest beach destinations and its second most populated village after its capital, Stone Town. Situated at the island's northernmost tip, Nungwi is blessed with some of Zanzibar’s most idyllic swimming beaches as the water surrounding this section of the island is fairly deep and mostly unaffected by the change of tides.
DAY 8 • February 16, 2026
Nungwi
After breakfast, we visit the spice plantations where you'll enjoy a unique rainforest nature with lots of tropical plants, trees and spices. Experience, taste and smell different spices that are grown in Zanzibar Islands such as Turmeric, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Peppers, Cloves, Nutmegs, and so on. Experience a hot lunch and visit Stone Town, a labyrinth of chaotic alleyways interposed between towering limestone houses with ornately carved arched hardwood doors with brass finishings and terracotta roofs. Stone Town is a melting pot of cultures and one of the last remaining ancient towns in Africa. It offers a rare cultural and historical insight into a former era of trade and exploration. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
