Richard became co-owner of TourMagination with his wife, Diane, in 2024. Together, they are privileged to carry forward TourMagination's legacy of creating meaningful travel experiences that connect people with history, culture, faith, and one another. 

Raised on a farm and shaped by the stories of faith, Mennonite heritage, and community, Richard developed an early appreciation for the enduring connection between people and the land on which we live. Those roots fostered a deep respect for rural communities, food systems, and the traditions passed from one generation to the next. 

Later, living in Memphis, Tennessee, and working in an international business role opened the door to extensive travel, broadening his family's perspective and sparking a lifelong curiosity about the people, cultures, and stories that make every place unique. 

Richard's professional journey has included leadership roles in business, entrepreneurship, and organizational governance. Those experiences have strengthened his appreciation for thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and creating experiences that bring people together. 

Richard is often asked what destination is next on his travel list. The truth is, the more he travels, the less important the list becomes. Every journey reminds him how expansive our world really is, how much there is to learn from other people and cultures, and how every place has stories waiting to be discovered. He believes the greatest gift of travel isn't simply seeing somewhere new. It is returning home with greater curiosity, humility, and understanding, and recognizing that the relationships we build across cultures and communities have the power to shape us for the better. 

Outside of TourMagination, Richard enjoys spending time outdoors, sharing music in church and community settings, and exploring new places with Diane and their adult children. 

Away from the clinic, Darryl is a lifelong sports enthusiast with a particular passion for golf, appreciating both the physical and mental challenges the game offers. Whether on the golf course, pickleball court, or volleyball court, he enjoys the friendships, discipline, and active lifestyle that sports encourage.
