Through his own travels and exploration of historic courses, he has developed a deep appreciation for links golf, where courses emerge naturally from the land and invite players to experience the game as a walk through history and place.

John believes golf should be welcoming, engaging, and accessible to players of all abilities. Rather than focusing on exclusivity or championship difficulty, he values courses that allow golfers to connect with the land, enjoy the spirit of the game, and leave inspired to return and play again.

He has a particular appreciation for architects who design courses in harmony with nature — working with the natural contours of the land rather than reshaping it — reflecting the minimalist traditions that have long defined great links golf.
