Bill & Dot Hartman

Faith-Driven · Lifelong Learners · History Enthusiasts · Wine & Culinary Explorers

Dot and Bill are natives of central Pennsylvania, having grown up on neighboring farms.

Dot studied Industrial Engineering and Bill Agricultural Business Management at Penn State University. Their years at Penn State were formative, not only because of their university experience, but also through their involvement at University Mennonite Church, a place that played an important role in shaping their lives and religious expression.

Dot began her professional career as a systems engineer before spending twenty-five years in logistics and transportation. Later, her focus shifted to aging services, and she retired from Landis Communities in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Bill's career in financial services began in agricultural lending. For the past twenty-five years, he has served with Everence Financial in a variety of corporate leadership roles focused on estate and trust services, organizational investments, and governance. He enjoys serving on boards of directors and consulting with organizations in the governance space.

Bill and Dot enjoy travelling, meeting new people, walking and golfing, along with sampling regional wines and diverse cuisines. They value the opportunity travel provides to learn from others, experience different cultures, and build lasting friendships. Bill has a particular interest in history and biographical stories, while Dot enjoys knitting and reading.

They enjoy spending time with their two daughters, who live in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and are members of both James Street Mennonite Church in Lancaster and University Mennonite Church in State College.
