Do you have an Anabaptist heritage? Are you interested in exploring your Amish, Mennonite, Hutterite, Brethren in Christ, or Old German Baptist Brethren roots?

Take a heritage tour in Western Europe, Russia/Ukraine, Central Asia, South America, or Mexico with TourMagination.

For more than 45 years, TourMagination has been helping North American Anabaptists rediscover their ancestors’ passionate faith as they trace their migration from country to country in pursuit of freedom to worship, to educate their children, and to live peacefully without being forced into military service.

Look for your family name in historic cemeteries.  Reflect at important sites like the Anabaptist Cave in Switzerland;  a hidden church in Pingjum, the Netherlands; Trachselwald Castle where Anabaptists were tortured as heretics; the Neckar River where Michael Sattler was executed; Chortitza and Molotschna colonies in Ukraine; Manitoba Colony in Mexico; and the Sommerfeld Colony in East Paraguay.

Meet locals and worship with Mennonites and other Christians. Enjoy rich community with like-minded tour members.

TourMagination is North America’s premier Anabaptist Heritage tour provider. Our engaging, knowledgeable storytellers, including John Sharp, David Friesen, Ayold Fanoy, and Leonard Friesen, make stories from the past come alive. Man Finds His Childhood Home in Poland

Off the beaten track in a small Polish village, the bus driver had to reverse down a narrow street to reach a collection of dimly remembered buildings. In Low German, Hardy asked one of the villagers for directions to the school which used to stand beside his house. Searching eagerly at the front of the bus, with his wife by his side, Hardy finally saw it—his childhood home with his grandfather’s initials set into the stone work. Hardy’s eyes glistened while his fellow travellers erupted in cheers. Hardy had not seen his home since 1945 when he was a young boy fleeing the Red Army with his family.

Heritage tours can be particularly moving for those who were born in the countries, fled as child refugees, and return for the first time as adults. A heritage tour can also be a special experience to share with children and grandchildren.
