Day 1: Start your day with a tour of historic collections at the Mennonite Information Center. A museum interpreter will personalize a talk with references to your family’s heritage in the Lancaster area. In the afternoon, find out what’s special about the region. Take a hot-air balloon ride or enjoy a wine-tasting. Explore the area by scooter. Browse some local shops or one of the many markets. Depending on your hotel choice, enjoy the pool and hot tub, walk the trails, visit a petting zoo or other on-site amenities. Have dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Day 2: Linger over breakfast and relax at the hotel. Later, at Hershey Chocolate World, create your own candy bar and see the 4D Chocolate Movie. Board the Hershey Trolley for a historic journey through Hershey, the town built on chocolate. This evening, why not have dinner at Shady Maple Smorgasbord for a large selection of Amish home cooking. Have a relaxing evening or perhaps catch a show at the famous Sight & Sound Theatre or one of the many local theatres (shows available based on the date of stay).
Day 3: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then take a guided tour of Amish country. This afternoon stop at a local dairy farm, Kreider Farms, or visit Lapp Valley Farm Dairy to enjoy some homemade ice cream. Depart for home or extend your stay to see more local attractions.
