COVID-19 Update, Status of Tours, Payments, Insurance

We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to communicate with TourMagination travellers about the status of tours happening in the next 6 months. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and waiting to hear decisions from our suppliers in the countries we plan to visit.

Tour Postponement

At this time, please know that you are not obligated to send in your final payment for your tour if it is due. If your tour is postponed, we will send you a PERSONAL email about it. We are committed to informing you about the status of tours as soon as we have the information we need to make decisions.

Insurance

TourMagination has been informed by Manulife, that all travellers who wish to initiate an insurance claim, on policies purchased before March 5, 2020, must state that they decline the supplier or travel agent’s voucher/credit. Currently TourMagination has postponed and not cancelled tours, which means we are offering travellers credit toward the rescheduled tour. Review the terms of your policy, and then submit a claim online or through Manulife’s Travel Aid App.

If you purchased insurance through CSA, they recently updated their COVID-19 information:

Coronavirus outbreak is considered a foreseeable event under any plans purchased on or after January 29, 2020. That means you could be covered if you are diagnosed with Coronavirus, but foreseeable events such as becoming quarantined due to the Coronavirus will not be covered. Please note, your plans will not cover fear of travel, unless you purchased Trip Cancellation for Any Reason coverage. In addition, some of your plans exclude losses due to a pandemic. For plans that exclude losses due to a pandemic, there will be no coverage for this event for losses that occurred on or after 03/11/2020, the date COVID-19 was formally declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Customers are strongly encouraged to read their Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy for details regarding their available coverage.

CSA also says:

We are committed to helping our customers during this difficult time.
