(Israel-Palestine)
and the Oberammergau Passion Play September 11-22, 2010 ![]() with tour leaders Nelson and Ellen Kraybill You will never read the Scriptures the same again! Join a pilgrim band to Israel-Palestine, and let the land bring the Bible into three dimensions. Each day a native guide from Palestine will provide a wealth of information on the land and the people, and Bible teacher Nelson Kraybill will inspire with theological and devotional insight. Ellen Kraybill will lead music and worship, and look after the tour logistics. Starting in Galilee, we will get an intimate feel for the hills, towns, and seashore that Jesus knew so well. The layering of biblical history will be rich as we visit both Old Testament and New Testament sites–such as the remains of ancient Jericho next to the desert where Jesus was tempted. We will see caves and ruins where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and go to the heights of Masada where Jewish rebels held out during the Jewish War. Like ancient pilgrims going up to Jerusalem, our time in the Holy Land will culminate with Mt. Zion and the City of David. We will walk the Via Dolorosa and celebrate communion at the garden tomb–then journey on to Germany for the world-renowned Oberammergau Passion Play.
