MEDA Tour to Ethiopia and Tanzania

October 12-24, 2012

A MEDA Partner family

With tour leaders Sid Burkey & Wilmer Martin

Some of the oldest civilizations on earth are found in the countries of Ethiopia and Tanzania - and today, dynamic partnerships to improve the livelihoods of people are taking place in these two countries. Join Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) to see firsthand how lives are being transformed and even saved through the support and tools provided through MEDA partnerships. You will meet agriculture and textile producers in Ethiopia and visit MEDA partners in Tanzania, where an innovative and ambitious mosquito net program has already saved 90,000 lives. You will also have a marvelous opportunity to visit spectacular sites such as the carved rock churches in Lalibela, Ethiopia, the UNESCO World Heritage Fasilides' Castle and the amazing Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, home to every species of wildlife in East Africa. Wilmer Martin, President of TourMagination, will co-lead this tour along with MEDA's Sid Burkey. Together they will take care of all your needs on this tour while introducing you to the people and beauty of Africa.
