Building Bridges, a new book of meditations written by Wilmer Martin has recently been released. The book takes its title from the mission statement of TourMagination: “Building bridges among Mennonites, other Christians and faiths around the world.” “On every tour, I give a daily devotional,” says Martin. “This book of meditations grew out of the devotionals I have given during TourMagination tours around the world. My hope is that the book will assist in fulfilling our mission.”  “Reading [these meditations] is like taking a virtual world trip with an experienced traveler who adds his own faith-building insights,” says former Mennonite Central Committee executive Edgar Stoesz. Short meditations integrate diverse examples from Wilmer’s experience, sharing insights and lessons learned, candidly reflecting on his own life and encouraging the reader to do likewise. The stories Martin tells stay with the reader, first impressing with the colorfulness of his international experience, then with his insights, and finally with a deeper appreciation for how God is working in the world today and how we can be part of this global work.
