Ed Epp joins TourMagination
TourMagination is pleased to announce that Ed Epp, vice-president of resource development at MEDA, will be joining our team on May 1, 2008. Ed shared with us that he “has been privileged to live and make friends in almost every part of the world. One of my favorite things is to introduce people to new countries, cultures, people and landscapes. Sharing, even in small ways, my experiences have always been a highlight for me. I can do this even more now, with TourMagination.” We look forward to the gifts Ed brings to TourMagination and you, our clients.

Office Open House

September 27th, 2007

We have recently renovated our TourMagination office at 9 Willow Street, expanding office space for our growing operation.

We have scheduled an Open House on Wednesday, October 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. We invite anyone in the area to join us to see our renovated office, to meet our special guests; Larry Miller, the Executive Secretary of Mennonite World Conference, and Albert and Mary Hildebrand from Sommerfeld Colony in Paraguay.

We hope you will come to enjoy refreshments and have conversations with our guests and staff. At that time, the brochures will be available for our six tours to the 15th Global Assembly of Mennonite World Conference in 2009.

Larry Miller will bring greetings and interpret the program of the Mennonite World Conference Assembly in Asuncion, Paraguay, in July 2009. And our staff will be happy to answer questions about our tours.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you on October 31.

Exploring Newfoundland

September 14th, 2007

Last week, Janet and I were in St. John’s Newfoundland, for a family outing. Once a year, we like to get away with our adult children, and also now with our grandson. The time is planned for togetherness and to explore, learn about a culture and appreciate the scenery of the community we have chosen.

Newfoundland, or “The Rock,” as the locals call it, is a wonderful place to visit. During the 90’s when I worked with Habitat for Humanity, I would get to Newfoundland several times each year. I was eager to introduce this province to my family.

The scenery was fantastic. Our family enjoyed exploring the Irish Loop and visiting the Colony of Avalon. Our 19-year old university student guide was very dynamic as she shared the story. She interpreted what life was like more than three hundred fifty years ago when the community was settled by persons from Great Britain.

TourMagination plans to add Newfoundland to our Canadian Maritime Tour in 2009. If you would like to receive a brochure when the tour details are planned, please send us a message.
